Audiovox takes cell phone display design in a new direction with its CDM-180 flip phone. Rather than a standard Portrait orientation, the handset offers a Landscape mode. The form factor offers a wider field of view for navigating menus and composing text messages, while the 262,000-color resolution is easy on the eyes. The trade-off is that the flip phone is rather bulky (3 by 2.1 by 1 inches; 3.7 ounces), but it s still small enough to fit in a pocket. Other features include analog roaming (CDMA 800/1900; AMPS 800), a speakerphone, voice dialing, text and multimedia messaging, and a voice recorder.
